Monday in N. Ogden at Fruitland Farms. .. Checking out Joel's new home in the tree. .. The roof comes later.
With help from neighbor kids, Joel has built a little dam, creating a large pond and a waterfall.
Yep, the artesian well keeps spurting away day in and day out.
Tuesday - a rainy day at Mt Ogden Park - with wet pickleball courts - megabummer.
Eight like-new courts, each individually fenced - quite awesome.
Thank you, John Gullo, for paying for all the courts!
Anyhow, Joel and I headed over to a local rec center to catch some indoors PB - with really old people. ... However, it was a chance for Joel to see what doubles is like.
How about that - kindergarten must involve homework!
For many years to come, homework will be a family project!
Wednesday and the eight courts are dry - wahoo!
Good turnout, enough to keep all the courts busy with a fairly short wait. .. Very friendly and welcoming players.
Back at the Fruitland Farms Park - where there is plenty of room for a new PB court!
All the heavy construction equipment is already on site.
Near the end of the season for the large vegetable garden.
The Annual Fall Apple Harvest Festival is days away - and already people are lining up along the street.
OK - time to start detailed surveying for the train route, needing to keep the grade not too high.
Preliminary computer layout of the track route - we're talking Big Time Serious!
Can't wait to see some of the bridges.
Sunny still rocks!
Most of the food came in the mail, but it was ample and tasty.
All right - Joel is ordering his first real PB paddle!
Video here - Joel's backyard zipline. .. Later he hopes to have one strong enough for adults.
Watching DVD of the kind of train that Joel will be building. .. This amazing place is in Oregon, and Joel will be going there often .. http://www.trainmountain.org .. I think it's 7.5 inch gauge.
Thursday morning - breakfast before school.
Joel is good at taking panorama shots - even indoors.
Like his dad, Cody can read the paper while eating.
Like his dad!
Thanks again so much, Joel, Debbie and Cody, for another wonderful visit. .. Let me know when you're ready to drive the Golden Spike! :) .. Love & NTW, Bill
