Heading to Dead Horse Creek Canyon up ahead on left.
Yes, "Trail is difficult" - for the faint of heart. .. I saw plenty of families with young kids and many seniors (most of whom survived).
Head up left along the creek.
Closeup of map next. .. More info here: http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5301076.pdf ... [Click your browser's back arrow to return to the album.]
Just under 1-1/4 miles, one way, and about 950' gain.
The initial part is a little rocky, but easy to follow.
The canyon is fairly narrow and the trail is close to the creek - but not in it.
Just skip the stones.
A rock staircase just a little below the lake.
Bill got here just ahead of us.
Circling the right side of the lake to get close to Bridal Veil Falls.
Most people overlook this steep but short side trail to Spouting Rock.
Yep, spouting out of the rock.
Approaching the rear of the falls from the left.
View from the other side of the falls.
Directly behind the falls - get out your umbrella.
One more video.
Heading back down - cool railing connections.
