OK, Monday morning, let's attempt Humphreys Pk, just north of Flagstaff - at 12,633, the state highpoint.
[Actual summit is hidden behind high point here, at the end of an extended ridge.]
Mine is the only car at the trailhead. .. This is somewhat early in the climbing season - so a fair amount of snow and possibly strong winds can be expected. .. [Forecast for tomorrow is very windy.]

The actual summit is just out of view behind the highpoint seen here. .. Line on the right is a ski lift.
Several parties appear to have summited Sunday.
From a distance, the peak looks fairly snow-free. .. However, a lot still lurks on the forest floor.
Ascending toward the summit ridge.
Atop the ridge now, but still a fair walk along it to the summit. .. Note greater snow on north-facing slopes.
In the final stretch, there are lots of these trail poles.
View to my rear and Agassiz Pk.
A couple relocating from the Wash, DC, to San Diego - with adventures along the way.
Summit in view.
We must almost be there.
YES! - the summit within the wind shelter.
All to myself.
View north toward the Grand Canyon. .. You'll have to take my word for it, as the canyon is mostly below the general surface. :)
