OK, Tuesday morning - a hike up Boynton Canyon, one of several (alleged) vortex sites!
Vortex = a new-age energy site (or whatever). .. Heck, I figure I bring the vortex with me wherever I wander in nature.
We'll mount this guy later.
The trail initially skirts this expensive private resort.
The trail pretty much ends just ahead.
Evidence of a vortex site?
Don't you feel energized already!
OK - back to that early rock formation.
[Sush - don't disturb the meditators.]
Looking down at the canyon we had just ascended, leading off to the right.
A different spot - this will also be the trailhead for a hike tomorrow.
OK - tomorrow, Wed, back at that trailhead.
We'll be hiking up the Wilson Mtn Trail to that outlook point off the 0.4 mile side trail.
Marker close-up in next image.
OK, beyond rattlesnakes and bad vortexes, be on the look out for large grizzlies.
See, up the trail aways now, there's that bridge, which we'll continue to see from afar.
This guy (gal?) is just starting the big bloom effort.
We'll end up atop the mesa on the right.
Note the impact of the color enhancing camera setting.
Route will take us up the distant gully, then left to the top of the mesa.
View to rear - can you still see the bridge?
