OK, here we are at Sacred Heart Church's parish hall in Colorado City for our 2nd Sunday Lord's Dinner - especially festive, of course, for December!
These gift bags are for the kids.
Sorry - they're for the kids!
Green tissue gift bags for the men and red for the ladies.
As usual, St Mike's went all out in responding to the call for fleece blankets.
Santa diligently supervised arrangements!
Gorp factory in production.
The young men from Boy Scout Troop 71 hosted the festive meal this evening - and lent a cheerful hand wherever needed.
[St Mike's Troop 66 hosted the Lord's Dinner a few months earlier.]
You guessed it - always a hit. :)
Gorp now about ready for distribution. .. We have this elaborate give-away all during the year, not just at Christmas!
Well, a little more elaborate for Christmas.
Santa and elves remained calm and serene.
Setting up the Christmas tree ornament factory.
Definitely not an assembly line, as each piece is delicately handcrafted.
OK, listen up - this is how we're going to do it!
... beginning with a prayer of thanksgiving for the opportunity to serve our guests.
Terrific beef stew.
For me! .. Thank you.
Adding the spinach salad, roll and tangerine - then out the window to be hand-delivered.
.. plus the piece of mint! .. Folks were welcome to come up for seconds & thirds.
We had a hundred guests - probably the highest number this year.
Be sure to save room for dessert - with whipped cream added at your table.
